Are you aged between 14-24 years old?

faqs

Any young person aged between 14 to 24 who has an interest in getting involved in football leadership and volunteering. This can be in a range of environments be it at a school, college, university, attached to an FA Charter Standard Club or League, or other like-minded partner. Volunteering isn’t just coaching it can include administration at clubs or events, running fundraising days, refereeing, running leagues and promoting the game through social media, video editing and other methods.

Young leaders sign up to the programme for free by completing the application form (contact Football Development Officer for an application), we will then be in contact with you promoting volunteering opportunities and asking YOU what skills you would like to develop and seeing how we can support it.

Yes! Durham FA holds an annual Football Futures Conference, which is open to any of our young leaders on Football Futures. The conference brings together lots of leaders across the county, who experience a series of workshops that provide an insight in to the ways young leaders can develop through the game.

There is also the chance to become a part of the Durham FA Youth Forum who will support Durham FA staff in delivering the Children and Young People offer, ensuring that Young People are at the heart of our game. Being a part of this team will also open the opportunity for you to apply to be a part of the National Game Youth Council who is the voice of children and young people within football across the country.

This really is a great chance for leaders to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity at a young age.

To sign up for Football Futures please contact Laura Pye, Football Development Officer (Futsal & Leadership) for an application form.
