FA Referee Course Expression Of Interest

Durham FA can confirm that we have just concluded our FA Referees Courses for the year.

As we are now working hard to support and develop our latest cohort, we will be looking to schedule and deliver further FA Referee Courses from the early part of 2022.

We will be looking to provide information towards the end of this year, and announce the booking process. In the meantime, please complete the below form with your details, and we will share further information ASAP about our next batch of courses as soon as we have these confirmed;
EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST HERE
Before we can allow candidates onto one of our FA Referee Courses, they must first have completed a Learn The Laws Module and completed an FA Online Safeguarding Course, with it registered on their own FAN record.

The Online Learn the Laws Learning Module can be accessed at:

https://falearning.thefa.com/course/view.php?id=1804

If you are under the age of 16, or a parent / guardian, you might find the information at the refereeing help centre useful when logging in. Please access it at:

https://help.thefa.com/support/solutions/7000014796

The Online Safeguarding Course can be accessed at:

https://thebootroom.thefa.com/learning/qualifications/safeguarding-courses

All candidates can currently complete the ‘Safeguarding for All’ course option, and Learn the Laws Learning Modules, for FREE of charge using their unique FAN number.

The Safeguarding for All course will take around 45 minutes to complete. The Learn the Laws Learning Modules will take around 90 minutes to complete.

We would strongly advise you to complete the above prerequisites over the next few months, this will then ensure that you can receive the booking links for the next set of FA Referee Courses in 2022 as soon as they become available, with demand expected to be very high once again!

FA DBS (Criminal Record Check)

All candidates who plan to referee within youth football, will also require to have an in-date FA DBS (those who are 16 years of age +) before we can register them as a referee.

Further information on this process will be sent at a later date, once candidates have a confirmed FA Referee Course booking with us. We will arrange verification sessions ahead of you attending an FA Referee Course.

Should you require any further information, please email Sebastian.Stockbridge@DurhamFA.com
