Durham County FA are proud to announce the new safeguarding mascot SAFE-IRE

In the Autumn of 2023, Durham County FA ran a competition for children to come up with a design for a Safeguarding Mascot for our County FA.

A lot of great designs were received and after a panel from Durham County FA staff looked very closely at the competition entries, the winner was chosen. 

Here is our competition winner Isabel, with her family - standing next to John Topping Chief Executive and Neil Churcher Designated Safeguarding Lead at Durham County FA. 

Many thanks to everyone who entered the competition and especially Isabel who has come up with a great mascot that has been adopted by Durham County FA and be used from now on.
