The Directors and members of Durham County Football Association would like to extend sincere congratulations to current Ambassador and integral member of our County FA Inclusion Advisory Group, Gary Bennett as he has today received his MBE from King Charles III after his visit to Windsor Castle.

Gary has been awarded the MBE for all his hard work and service regarding Anti-discrimination and especially towards the eradication of racism within the game through his role within the Show Racism the Red Card organisation.

Gary regularly visits Schools, Universities and workplaces educating people about race and discrimination.

Through his work, reporting issues surrounding anti-discrimination has become easier and he is a firm believer of raising awareness and education.

It is hoped eventually that due to the work of Gary and other like-minded people football will become FOR ALL
