female participation development officer 

12 Month Salary £9,650 Fixed term contract until 31st March 2022 with a view to extend. 

The Durham County FA Ltd is seeking to recruit a Part time Female Participation Development Officer with
responsibility of developing the Female game across the County FA boundaries.

The role encompasses the following areas:

  •      To support delivery of The FA National Game Strategy and the Durham County FA Business Strategy.
  •      To lead the strategic development of women and girls' football.
  •      To contribute to the effective implementation of The FA’s Safeguarding 365 and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for the County FA.
  •      To support the adoption of FA technology systems across grassroots football.

You will need to be passionate about and committed to the development of Girl’s and Women’s football with the
ability to work strategically with partner organisations across different sectors and to plan and deliver football
programmes.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of inclusion, equality, anti–discrimination and safeguarding 365 and also have a
knowledge of The FA Coaching Qualification Framework.
You should have a proven track record of working with and developing a volunteer workforce.
The role may involve travelling around the County, so a driving license and your own transport is essential.
You must be able to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines as well as taking ownership of the
responsibilities of the role you will need to do within a team environment or working on your own.
The post is based at the headquarters of the Durham County Football Association Ltd, working 14 hours per week
over two days a week.
As this role involves direct access to young persons under the age of eighteen, within the context of the job or any
subsequently related activities or responsibilities, the successful candidate will undergo a thorough screening
process, which will include a DBS check, to ensure their suitability for the role.
