FORMATION OF DURHAM county FA UNDER 21 MIDWEEK LEAGUE

The Durham County FA has received requests to form an Under 21 Midweek League which would be aimed at teams from Step 6 and above plus teams who would consider that they could compete at that level.

Teams would need access to facilities that are compatible with Step 6 and above including floodlights.

Below is correspondence which has been sent to all Clubs within the County competing at Step 6 and above plus any that have shown an interest in the past.

A meeting for all interested teams to attend has been arranged for Thursday 24th January 2019 commencing at 5:00pm at Durham FA HQ.

RE: Durham County FA U21’s Midweek League

Earlier this season I held a meeting with teams who had shown an initial interest in being part of an U21’s Midweek League.

Although several teams showed an interest it was not enough to form a League.

However following recent discussions it has been decided that Durham County FA will commence a League in August 2019.

It is intended that the rules will allow for 3 overage players to participate in fixtures.

A meeting is therefore to take place at Durham County FA HQ on Thursday 24th January 2019 commencing at 5:00pm.
