FA Mars Just Play

    •
The FA have made it as easy as a ‘one-two’ to turn up and start playing the football that best suits you: whether it’s a good old-fashioned kickabout or the more competitive game, like 5 or 11 a side.

What is Just Play?
Just Play is a national programme run by the FA sponsored by Mars to provide opportunities for adults to play recreational football in their area, with no need for players to commit to every week. The flexibility of these sessions allows players to play football around their day to day lifestyle.

What is the aim?
Increase Adult football participation through creating recreational opportunities within Durham County.

What has the Durham County FA done so far?
The Durham County FA has helped set up kickabout sessions and Just Play Centres for....
- 7 a side Men’s – 5 a side Women’s - Futsal Women’s - Veterans Football – these sessions have been a combination of players from within local businesses, Universities, Colleges, the unemployed and the general public.

Who would be interested in ‘Just Play’ football?
Adults of any age and ability who:

  • who would like an hour’s exercise and some fun within a structured environment
  • who have not played football for a while and want to get back into playing
  • who do not want to commit to an 8 month long season
  • fancy a sociable, less serious way to play football

How can I set up a Just Play football kickabout?
Sessions are funded with money centrally from the FA Mars Just Play Fund.

This funding can cover:

  • cost of equipment
  • facility hire
  • training course costs
