New opportunity for females aged 16-19 years old

Durham FA are providing the opportunity for female young leaders to broaden their knowledge and experience in Football.

The young leaders will have the opportunity to work with experienced County FA staff and FA Tutors in various learning environments. From the knowledge young leaders gain from the qualifications they will have the opportunity to put it into practise and organise their own event. 

Leadership Qualities Required: Young Leaders must have a keen interest in coaching and officiating opportunities within Football.  Applicants must be confident delivering to peers and various participants. 
 

Programme Information: Open event held on Tuesday 18th June from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Durham FA. Young leaders will be given information on how the programme will look and go through any questions young leaders may have.


Young leaders will be asked to complete a Criminal Records Check (CRC) at the start of the programme. 

The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football will be held on the following dates:

8th July 2019 6.00pm – 9.30pm Theory / Practical
12th July 2019 6.00pm – 9.30pm Theory / Practical
15th July 2019 6.00pm – 9.30pm Theory / Practical
17th July 2019 6.00pm – 8.00pm FA Safeguarding
19th July 2019 6.00pm – 9.30pm Theory / Practical
22nd July 2019 6.00pm – 9.30pm Theory / Practical
24th July 2019 6.00pm – 9.00pm FA EM Aid
26th July 2019 6.00pm – 9.30pm Theory / Practical
29th  July 2019 6.00pm – 9.30pm Theory / Practical

The FA Basic Referee Course will be held on the following dates:

29th October 2019 9.00am – 3.30pm Theory / Practical
30th October 2019 9.00am – 3.30pm Theory / Practical

To complete the referee course, young leaders will officiate within Durham FA leagues
Both courses will be held at Durham FA

Young leaders will plan, organise and deliver a Festival to complete the programme. 

Expectation

Young leaders will be expect to:

  • Attend all dates scheduled within the programme
  • Engage in all aspects of the programme
  • Be involved in/coaching a team prior to the start of the programme
  • Conduct themselves in an appropriate manner throughout the programme

Fees

Young Leaders are required to pay £99

Attendance

Young Leaders must attend all of the above dates. Young Leaders are liable for the full cost of their programme if they are to cancel or withdrawn during the season.
