Durham FA is delighted to announce that once again a Girls Player Development Centre will run during the 2019-2020 season.

The Player Development Centre is an opportunity for Female Players aged 9-14 years, who currently play for an FA Charter Standard Club, to receive additional coaching to support their on-going development. Please note, the girls will continue to play for their Grassroots Football Club.

The Player Development Centre will place the players into a comprehensive, age appropriate, technical and tactical training programme linked to the England DNA; whilst also looking to support their holistic development. The sessions will consist of a range of Small Sided Games and game related practices, in an engaging and challenging learning environment; where the players are encouraged to play with freedom and creativity, solving on-going problems and making informed decisions; without the fear of failure.
The Player Development Centre will be overseen by our UEFA A Licenced, Technical Lead; with all other coaches being Licenced at FA Level 2 or 3.

Who for: U10s | U12s | U14s. Double age bands, as per 2019-2020 season. All players must currently play for an FA Charter Standard Grassroots Football Club.

Where: Riverside Sports Complex (3G), Chester le Street, County Durham, DH3 3SJ.

When: 5.30-7.00pm on the following dates:
 Friday 20th & 27th September 2019
 Friday 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th October 2019
 Friday 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th November 2019
 Friday 28th February 2019
 Friday 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th March 2019
 Friday 3rd & 24th April 2019
 Friday 1st, 8th, 15th May 2019

During the winter break (December 2019 – February 2020), we are looking into the possibility of a 6 week, optional, Futsal Programme (at an additional cost). More details to follow.

Additionally, we will be looking to organise some game programmes during a number of the school holidays (at no extra cost). More details to follow.

Cost: £60.00 per player.

FREE Open Taster Sessions & Parents Evening:
In order to give prospective players and parents an insight into the Durham FA Player Development Centre, there will be two, free to attend, open taster evenings. This will give all players an opportunity to meet the coaches and engage in a number of taster sessions; whilst the parents will be invited to observe the sessions, meet the coaches and attend a short introductory meeting, where further information will be provided and any questions answered.

When: Friday 30th August and/or Friday 6th September, 5:30pm - 7:00pm.
Where: Riverside Sports Complex (3G), Chester le Street, County Durham, DH3 3SJ.
