The ‘Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League’ have announced on Sunday 9th September 2018 it will be kicking off its first girls’ football section as part of the league.
The development league will be running at U11 and U14 age groups and will be delivered as an introduction to girls’ football.
Fixtures will be played out of Gateshead Redheugh F.C. and the games will be played as a 7v7 format with a maximum squad size of 12 players for each game (although you can register up to 14 players).
The league are looking for more local girls’ teams to join and even with the league starting on 9th September teams can enter at any time throughout the season. The league will be flexible in allowing new teams to join and participate.
Games will take place on a Sunday morning with kick off times starting from 9.00am and will be 60 minute games (30 minutes each way).
The Gateshead Youth League and the Durham FA will be working closely together to ensure we help provide a development opportunity for players at this age across the County.
