FA Coach Mentor Legacy Programme Launch

The FA Coach Mentor Legacy Programme will launch in Durham County FA on 18th September 2017 for this season, which sees coaches from local FA...

These coaches have been identified by FA Coach Mentors, who have been supporting their clubs, as Club Mentors who will continue the Coach Development work once the FA Coach Mentor Programme moves on to other local clubs.

The aim of this Legacy group is to support coaches and share best practice across clubs to build on the fantastic work being done in coaching players across Durham County FA. The Legacy group also work with counterparts across the river in Northumberland FA and meet up  a couple of times each season to share coach and player development information and ideas.

This season both groups across the Counties will continue to work with local professional clubs, Sunderland AFC and Newcastle Utd’s Academy set ups, as well as looking at opportunities to work with  coaches from different sports to learn additional skills and techniques that can be  transferred to football.
