SSE Wildcats heads for Durham Dash

Since April 2017 Durham United F.C. have been delivering a very successful SSE Wildcats Centre, the SSE Wildcats programme is a girls aged 5-11...
The centre ran by Durham United F.C. has been a thriving success with over 20 brand new participants now engaged in their weekly football programme. Following on from this success the club were approached by the organisers of the Durham Dash event and were asked if their club coaches would be willing to be put on a Wildcats session at the Dash.

This would be an excellent way for Durham United F.C. to raise their profile and an excellent opportunity to showcase the clubs successful SSE Wildcats programme. Female participants aged 5-11 from all across Durham participated in the activity, all enjoying their first real experience of playing football. Following on from the introduction the participants were provided with information on where they could attend their weekly SSE Wildcat Centre. Overall the day was great success.

Billy Horn, Durham United F.C. said: "It was a great setting and a fantastic opportunity to give girls access to a brief introduction to football, we all really enjoyed it and it was great to see so many new players trying football, we will hopefully see these players attending our weekly session over the next few weeks"
