FA Coaching Futsal - Level 1

The aim of this course is to provide candidates with an understanding of the techniques and skills related to the game of Futsal. This course will help candidates organise and deliver basic Futsal practices. It will also provide candidates with an introduction to the structure of the game, the laws and the role Futsal can play in developing underlying skills and techniques along with developing underlying skills and techniques.

For whom the course is intended

  • Males or Females. Minimum age is 16
  • Managers/Coaches of junior /adult football teams wishing to incorporate futsal into their club
  • Managers/coaches of junior/adult teams involved in our  FA Futsal Leagues
  • College, University and Sixth Form Students

Course Requirements

  • Writing materials / Notepad
  • Suitable playing kit, tracksuit, shorts, socks
  • Footwear – appropriate to indoor playing surface
  • Water bottle
  • Shin pads are compulsory

Practical Work

Candidates should have a reasonable level of fitness as there is a physical content in taking part in the practical sessions. The games are designed to help develop Youth/Adult player’s ability, each game relating to a specific technique of the game.

Learning Outcomes

-          Understand the 6 core technical strands of the game
-          Identify 6 key areas relating to the laws of the game
-          Describe the current development pathways in England


**Durham FA Coach Education Cancellation Policy**

If you need to cancel your attendance on the course you should inform Durham FA immediately. All our courses are in demand and by not advising us you are preventing another candidate from attending.

If you cancel more than 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the course, a full refund will be issued. However, if you cancel after the 2 week deadline, no refund will be given. Consideration will be given to candidates who, for health reasons are unable to attend and require a transfer to another course. A letter from a doctor or medical professional must be supplied.

If you should decide to transfer to another course once your application has been submitted, there will be an additional administration charge of £20.00

If you are a League Official, Club Official, Referee, Coach and/or Player it is extremely likely you have a FAN already.
