Venue: Durham County FA

SPARQ
SPARQ is a performance training schedule devised by NIKE. It’s aim is to test the fitness of young footballers - Free of Charge, within their club environment with the possibility of their OWN coaches being accredited to do so!

The key to SPARQ is the online website which will allow players to review their scores, rate how they compare to others and see how they can improve.

SPARQ delivered a session a couple of years ago when they flew a representative from America to oversee a pilot session at Durham City, because of the success of the night they have now committed themselves to using Durham County as one of their main areas to promote the tests before it goes globally! (You can fine further information on the right hand side of the page under 'Related Documents')

Any Coaches who wish to be accredited will attend both the evening on the 17th August and the accreditation night on September 1st at Durham FA, details will be explained on the night, Free of Charge.

Small Sided Games
Graeme Carrick is one of the FA Skills Coaches and has took the lead in which he and the other members of the Skills Team have developed a range of small sided games.

The aim is to provide coaches with a variety of games showing different structures - end zones / target areas, limited amount of space, conditions as well as showing some of the Youth Module games which can be used for ALL ages as I have recently found out myself by attending the course and found it to be very informative. Tasks included; Developing Players Self Esteem, Managing Players Mistakes, Maintaining Motivation and How Players Learn.

For both sessions we require a Group of Players, if you can bring your Team to one of the sessions could you please let us know ASAP.

In order to secure your place and to confirm your attendance please return the reply slip or email your acceptance to the following address; david.cleary@durhamfa.com
