Just a reminder about the Welfare Officer Workshops (WOW’s) we have available in the first few months of 2010.
As you know, attendance by a Club or League Welfare Officer at a Welfare Officer Workshop is mandatory for the forthcoming season 2010-11.
For the new season, in order that your Club or League can affiliate with Durham County FA, all Welfare Officer’s must have a valid FA Enhanced CRB disclosure, have attended a Safeguarding Children Workshop and have also attended a Welfare Officer Workshop – so please don’t wait until the last minute to try to get on one of these workshops as they will soon fill up.
The arrangements for the forthcoming WOW’s are listed below and getting a place is simple - just email either Ann Holroyd (ann.holroyd@durhamfa.com) or Richard Hughes (richard.hughes@durhamfa.com) with the course date you would like to attend and they will confirm arrangements.
To be eligible to attend a WOW, you will be a Welfare Officer who already has an FA Enhanced CRB check and has attended a FA Safeguarding Children Workshop – if not, please contact us so that we can arrange to get either or both of these requirements completed.
WOW dates are as follows:-
Thursday 28th January 2010
Thursday 25th February 2010
Wednesday 24th March 2010
All workshops will start at 6.00 p.m., last up to three hours and will be held in the offices of Durham County FA at Riverside South, Chester-le-Street, DH3 3SJ
The cost of the workshop is £18.00
If you have any questions about the course content, please contact Richard Hughes, County Welfare Officer on 0191 3872929 or by email.
We look forward to receiving your applications
