
Referees perform a vital role in the game, and with the growth in the popularity of football, particularly for women and children, the demand for match officials is increasing.
To meet the growing demand, the Durham County FA is committed to recruit and retain more male and female referees and to support them throughout their careers.
There has never been a better time to become a Referee and reach the top, all interested have an equal opportunity to be as successful in officiating as their ability allows, irrespective of race, gender, disability, creed or religion.
The following courses are available for people who wish to referee in:- 11-a-Side Football, Small Sided Football, Futsal.
Courses are also available for those who wish to gain Mini Soccer Match Day Skills and those who just want to gain more knowledge of the Laws of Association Football.
The first stage involved in becoming a referee is to register your interest with the Durham County Football Association who will send you an application form and training course information.
The second stage is to return the form and attend the course best suited to your needs.
