The course which can be held at various venues across the County offers a variety of formats for the completion of the training course involving both theory and practical sessions:-
Weekend Course, Saturday and Sunday, 9.00 am – 4.30 pm
Consecutive Weekend Course, 2 x either Saturday or Sunday, 9.00 am – 4.30 pm.
School Holiday Course, Two full days, 9.00 am – 4.30 pm.
At the end of the course candidates must successfully complete both a written and practical examination to qualify as a Referee.
Candidates must also complete a full FA Enhanced CRB check, attend a 3 hour FA Safeguarding Children Workshop ( candidates 14 -16 complete a CD/ROM based module on Safeguarding Children ) and Referee 6 x 11 a side competitive league/friendly or school fixtures.
Successful candidates will be invited to attend a final module of their training when they will receive their FA certificate and badge towards their qualification as an FA Registered Referee.
Course Costs: £30.00 (over 16), £10.00 (14- 16)
Course fee refunded after completion of 6 games and attendance at Certification evening.
