Again the weather was the winner but of the games that took place Lumley Juniors took top honours with a 5 – 3 away win over last seasons champions Chester le Street. Aaran Wearmouth rounded off an excellent personal performance by grabbing a hat trick with David Conroy and Kieron Day adding the others. The victory secures Lumley in third place in the league.
Ryhope CW entertained local rivals Sunderland RCA and were comfortably beaten 6 – 0. Kieran Stokoe notched a brace with Nataniel Crinson, Lee Andrews, Jonny Davis and defender Liam Dunn also finding the net.
In the Lady Eden Hospitals Cup New Hartley travelled to Blackhall CW and progressed into the last eight with a 5 – 0 victory thanks to goals from Danny Young (2), Niall Younger, Ross Berkley and substitute Jorden Nellis. In the next round New Hartley entertain Chester le Street.
