• Coaches who wish to learn the basic ‘Technical’ aspects of Goalkeeping
• Candidates who have obtained the minimum 1st4sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football
• Candidates should have a reasonable level of fitness as there is a physical content in taking part in the practical sessions.
Course Requirements

• Suitable playing kit, tracksuit, shorts, socks
• Footwear – appropriate to the surface 3g
• Water bottle
• Goalkeeping Gloves
• Shin pads are compulsory

• Specific Goalkeeping warm ups and cool downs
• Footwork
• The ‘SET’ position
• General handling techniques
• Diving saves – catching / deflecting / parrying
• Dealing with 1v1
• Dealing with crosses
• The Club Games are designed to help develop children’s ability, each game relating to a specific technique of the game.

Candidates to deliver a 15 minute Technical Practice
**Durham FA Coach Education Cancellation Policy**
If you need to cancel your attendance on the course you should inform Durham FA immediately. All our courses are in demand and by not advising us you are preventing another candidate from attending.
If you cancel more than 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the course, a full refund will be issued. However, if you cancel after the 2 week deadline, no refund will be given. Consideration will be given to candidates who, for health reasons are unable to attend and require a transfer to another course. A letter from a doctor or medical professional must be supplied.
If you should decide to transfer to another course once your application has been submitted, there will be an additional administration charge of £20.00
